A Queer Quaintrelle

29 years old, Tel Aviv based songstress / composer / producer.

Graduated the Rimon Jazz Institute for outstanding Jazz musicians.

In recent years, she has been active as a leading singer and vocal director in various ensembles and projects, such as “MissBehave” - An all-women group tributing the greatest Motown hits, the “BoogieBees” tributing the legendary Bee Gees, and “Nashville Outlaws”, tributing American Country music,

establishing herself as a powerful front-woman on and off stage.

Nowadays Qerenne is working on her original materials, recently releasing her new E.P “Midnight Harmonies” which was recorded and produced entirely by her, at her home studio.

Her work is led by a deep, impressive and soulful vocal presence. Her melodies, sometimes convoluted and complex, sometimes simple and direct, are accompanied by rich harmonies and diverse influences of Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Soul and Folk, all revolving around the deep presence of the voice. The lyrics are straight forward, navigating shamelessly between everything that is self loathing, love, inner demons and imperfection.

Raised by nostalgia-loving parents, her production and composition are heavily influenced by Soul, Jazz and Pop classics of the 60’s - 70’s, creating tunes that wish to stay true to the timeless sound of these decades, yet illuminating them with her unique light and up-to-date point of view.

Wether paying an homage to an adored artist or bringing her own original tune, her music will take the listener into a deep sonic dive within rich layers of vocals and harmonies.
